Get a pair Pioneer SP-BS41-LRs from USA

These speakers are probably not available in India. So I want to ask my uncle to get them for me when he comes to visit us. I wondering if it could pass as a gift/personal item without me having to pay any extra money. I've been able to get laptops, point and shoot cameras and desktop components....but not sure if I can get these speakers. For those who don't know, these speakers weigh about 24 pounds and pretty big (14'' tall).

Has anybody got speakers from abroad before? I don't mean buying from a retail abroad and getting them shipped here. I mean making a friend or relative carry them here.
