Gobble, though an excellent article, this is meant more for the US houses that are mostly pre-fabricated in wood come in a standard configuration - such as attic, basement, etc.

In India, unless you plan the wiring as plan of your house construction, you have drill really ugly holes or see if one can carry the wires externally between floors.

Quite an elaborate article for the DIY Gobble. Like Venkat said, our constructions are different, but still we can draw some parallels. Especially found the routing of speaker cables very interesting and this part. I have struggled wtih this in the past, so a learning for future. Thanks for sharing.
