Good news on EMT 938 MC preamp!

Good news for EMT/Meltron 938 owners. A friend of mine has cloned an exact replica of the expensive EMT MC pre pre board which gets mounted on the EMT’s phono preamp board inside the 938.

This allows MC cartridges to be played on the EMT 938 including Denon DL103, EMT TSD15 etc.

The original EMT boards are getting scarcer and pricier by the day and need to import from Germany. Last I heard the price is 300+ euro.

This is available at probably half the price and in India. I used and reviewed a sample and it is exactly the same with high quality components.

I have never had the opportunity to hear the original EMTs. However at a show I spend a lot of time listening to the EMT 128 and the EMT 928 turntable. What classy components! Mature gear that stays totally out of the way so that the essence of the music just flows through! The people were also super friendly. Great conversations.
