The exact charge on my card was 30,485.69 INR.
to clarify I spoke to the dealer I have dealt with in the past about this and they said they have absolutely no problem with paid servicing. They also deal in Onkyo.

Mostly all authorized dealers will do the service, maybe service fee extra for imported units.

If ProFx refuses... u can always take it to Kripa.. .. There are 2 official importers of Denon !!

There are 2 official importers of Denon !!no they are in Mumbai, I am not sure if it will be right to mention their name here in case it is Onkyo policy not to service their AVRs in India if bought from abroad (I seriously doubt the credence of this fact, as Onkyo will have zero commercial interest in doing so). I think Pro fx refusal to service an imported denon would have related to their own internal policy of doing so to spook buyers. And this is also because they are not only the dealers, but also the official importers, so they make margins at two stages. I am sure if you contact other dealers who are not importers in Bangalore also you may get a similar reply that they will service it, of course paid.

Last year one Onkyo AVR which was screwed by bad sericing was accepted by their service centre in Kalina Mumbai...My expereince
No I am not sure, and that is why I said I doubt the fact that it won't be serviced. But this is what some of the other members are mentioning in this thread earlier, that for directly imported AVRs by customers for brands like Denon or Onkyo one may or may not get a service in India. If you can confirm that we can actually get it from their official service centre that's great news! Was your AVR directly imported by you?

Update from my side bros - Pulled the trigger on the Marantz GB, waiting for the delivery now...
Praveen, please strike my name off from the list.
I spoke to the ProFx guys from Barton Center and Phoenix mall, didn't look like they were pretty excited about selling bulk. Guess they reckon they have a large enough potential customer base and don't need bulks. The Barton Center chap called up his boss and offered a 15% discount. The Phoenix mall guy didn't budge from the 10% mark and was not interested in discussing it further. Net-net, Denom's offer seems to be the best possible. Suggest you to close it before he changes his mind

1. because we did not find any good offer from GB (best price by denom 35.5k - 1 or 100 pieces)
2. Marantz GB scattered FM's
Anyway I already found my AVR (yamaha).
Incase anybody interested in Denon 1912, seems like denom holds the best price.
If bangalore people are interested, contact me with GB of minimum 3 for almost same price .
