Guide me thru the Floor Standers

Hello all....ve been following the threads for about 8 mnths now, and also have been auditioning ... now need guidance from real owners of such speaker sys.
want is to set up a decent 5.1 setup for a room size 20 x 14 ft..70:30 to movies..for a budget of 1.5 l(for 5.1).

Brands I auditioned are -
- Jamo c607 & c 405 with marantz 6005
- Dali Ikon 6 & motifs with Denon 1611
- Mordaunt Short Mezzo 6 & Aviano 6 with Denon 1911
- Warfdale diamond 10.5 & 9.5 with yam avr
- Monitor Audio RX6, BX5 & BR 6 with marantz avr
- KEF Q700 & 500 with marantz avr

and i've zeroed down to KEF Q 700/MA RX6 > Ikon 6/ BX 5 > Mezzo6/ KEF Q 500
One of the things i learnt about myself during the auditioning process is that i'm not a guy for very bright, 'upon your face' or ' demanding to be heard' kind of sound. What i would rather like is warm and sweet... a kind of laid back attitude of sound. Like British Audio makers suit my ears better.

Now need help to kind of finally decide what to pick....
Avr in mind is Onkyo> Marantz as brightness of onkyo will take away some lethargy speakers might offer.

With your kind of sound preference i.e Warm and Laid back sound signature, you should also give NAD and PSB combo a try, which is what its famous for.

Check out Epos Loudspeakers. A famous British brand for quality speakers. The sound signature is warm and over all audio is very balanced. I am sure you will like it.

def NAD and PSB have a warm sound sig would be worth a try. Thanx
Brands ve not auditioned but think will be good to consider are..
Def Tech's mythos, Paradigm monitor series and Martin Logon motion series..
will try to audition it...
Secondly... wanted to ask all..does it make sense to pickup speakers from grey..think there would be substantial price diff.. but no Warranty...whats the experts take on that..
Can u refer any one to for without B/W stuff..

KEF Q 700 and Mordaunt Short Mezzo 6 were in the run...liked both of them...but think Rx6 has better sound stage and sweeter highers...

thanks for the input...surely appreciate..and yes i plan to audition PSB Image with NAD... believe at Lakozy in Delhi...only skeptical about it being too sweet...

I heard the RX6 but in a 2 channel set up with Marantz cd/pm 6003 and also thru a pioneer avr in HT mode. They were good especially the hifi setup.

I've auditioned all most all the speaker sys on stereo setup only...and have taken for granted that they would be little bit more alive...when different freq spectrum are taken care of by diff speaker sys..Hope I'm not committing a blunder :sad:.........gurus can shed some light.

But no denying RX6 is non fatiguing ( i listened to them for bout 3 hrs plus...and wanted to carry on hearing) and have a wonderfully open sound stage....
KEF Q700...however still remains the closest contender...wonder full speakers again..
