I was curious whether any forum member has purchased power transformers from the Indian branch of talema magnetics.

Well, i can't say about power transformers, but we have used current sense transformers from talema and the product is good and meets the specs.

know them from my previous job 5 years ago.They supplied us big toroidal transformers along with Toroid india, Salzer etc.

I bought 2 Talema trafo for my amp build. I havent tested yet. But heard it is good. I didnt do a direct purchase.

Yes talema transformers are very good and have some compact ones that can be mounted directly on the PCB.

How did you procure them? I tried contacting them but seems they don't sell retail quantities. Same goes for Salzer.

5000 for a 225 VA trafo !! most diy people will not prefer even import of trafo comes cheaper than this ..

Telema india can get some good prices for common diy people i think we have many takers here .
I have done such adventures contacting some indian firms but nothing worked as individual .

I enquired shilchar for R-Core and Salzer for Toroid. From Salzer I think we can get trafo for a decent price. But will take time. But from shilchar its costly if the quantity is less. But reasonable when compared to other online sales. Soon I may buy 1 or 2 R-Cores from shilchar. And Shilchar is well regarded for its product.

When I ordered it was not 5k. It was around 4k including shipping. Now it got increased.

Possible low cost aluminum cabiie build:
i have got cnc people , but they are lil far 25km have water jet cutting,lasers or so taking front and back panels of 10+10 numbers may be possible .

1)i need autocad design files for standard sizes amp cabinet ..too lazy to do that !
2)aluminum pieces from sproad ..too lazy if someone can join inthis
3)clearcoat spray,for brush finish coating, i will import

or any one who can do this with normal saws:

I am also interested in enclosures. A default enclosure design with a potentiometer and iec socket will be a good starting point. 20 wide by 30 cm deep 2U and 3U height may be the default dimensions. Front aluminium plate at least 5 mm.
