Could you help with what budget you have set and if there is a certain Brand preference ?

What i would suggest is go for a DLP projector as it gives you the closest cinematic experience when compared to cinema theatres. I myself have purchased Optoma hd26 3 months back and let me tell you it has a stellar performance.

Hi,

Besides brand and performance, you need to factor the placement and projection throw...how big screen etc etc...

Projectors with more features and better lenses will be expensive...

small room...screen size 16:9 ( 100 Inches I guess)

Epson has also a good range of projectors.

See the Epson EH TW 5300.....one of the top selling models for small to medium sized rooms and works well for 100 inches diagonal measured screens...

recently viewsonic has launched- Viewsonic LightStream Pro7827HD
Home Theater Projector at a bargain price with killer specs and flexibility for mounting. It has very good reviews at pj central also...just check it out
But one problem is you have to get it from outside india

Im using Epson TW 6000 for the last 2 years on a 120 inch diaganol screen. Watches Bluerays and HD tv channels. Also attached to a projector is Darbee Dablet (purchased from Ebay for Rs.23000/-) It sharpens the view according to your taste. The projected image is breathtaking. Super sharp and bright.
