You would be better off sourcing from amazon through friends - about 600$.

For me 36k INR is acceptable, but none sells in India at this price!

I inquired with some projector dealers here in bangalore, and they quoted me 86k with 1 year warranty (3months on lamp) , while same can be get in gray market around 54-58k, but they are opened boxes and not recommended at all

If you are not worried about warranty, amazon is best.

Since import duty is is 29.41%, the tax component is more likely to be 12k and above (they usually lump shipping and equipment cost together and then charge import duty).
Anyhow, there maybe another 5k more costs. Still at 58k, it is 30k cheaper than India but without warranty. That's the risk one has to work with. Many a time there may not be a problem at all but if you are one of the unlucky folks, you may end up with a lemon.

Add another 3.5% (of total cost) as the international transaction / conversion charges if you are using a Indian Credit card.
in my experience, ICICI has been worst and standard charted is best as per the conversion rate

The lowest i got for HD26 was 90k, i am shocked to hear that you got it at 68k.

If warranty doesn't matter you guys can check your local classified site olx/quikr etc, I saw same listed under 60k.

Not sure about the site, but the price is not at all attractive for a known refurbished product. You can get one from amazon.de for the same price, or check Bangalore/Hyderabad classified portals ...

Hi, What is the maximum screen size that we can go with HD26 without loosing the clarity of the picture... I was told that 120" is good but wanted to know if we can go upto 133" or 135" screen. Please suggest.

I could connect a 133 inch screen without any issues but my viewing distance is 20 feet from the screen.
Amazon has HD26 selling at 77K now.

Thank you Krishnamurthy... My HT room is 21x18 and the viewing distance could be 14-15 ft if i plan for two rows.
