HDMI Audio on Yamaha 467 using Mac Mini?

Hello,

I have a mac mini unibody with HDMI which is hooked to Yamaha 467 receiver using Optical cable. This setup works fine.

However I am trying to use HDMI cable for audio and Video through the receiver, I get video fine but not able to get sound of the receiver through hdmi cable.

Macmini HDIMI <==> Yamaha 467 receiver (HDMI 1)
Yamaha 467 receiver (HDMI out) ==> display HDMI

Anybody here have a similar setup working ?

For those who are looking for answers....

Mac mini passthrough using optical cable has limitations.

I was able to get it working using Mini display to HDMI convertor hooked to reciever and HDMI to my display.

Mini display port if mac mini can deliver audio and video too.
