HDMI v1.2 versus v1.3 : whats the difference?

Hi fellows


can anybody elabborate the difference betwn the two versions of HDMI...

Do most AVR support 1.3?
I am asking becos WD TV is said to support only v1.2.. is this a limitation.. can it be ugraded by firmware..

The HDMI version is getting updated every year and technology changes is fast, dunno whether it would really make much difference locally here as you need that kind of content also to be easily available to reap and benefit from the latest technology changes ...

HDMI 1.4 can be used as bothway(direction)
1.3 supports 32bit deep colour.even HDaud support.
1.2 can carry DD/Dts aud no HD.

Vid is carried in all types.

Hdmi 1.4 ??? why just now only this HDMI 1.3 complaint cables solutions have been solved, for bth HD audio and video, befrore stabilizes the other one arrives HDMI 1.4 for the god sake.
