I request help of members at the forum for buying a turntable in Bangalore. This would be a present for my dad who has a collection of vinyls from 70s and 80s. He initially had the first version of Philips TT and later upgraded to the model 242 in the mid 70s, which has various issues now.
The budget would be a maximum of INR 20K in BLR.
It should sound 'decent' and should not have a fixed tonearm. Have seen the Denons (no, not the 100th Ann model) in the showroom. I would like to know if there is something better within the budget.
I request for info on models and prices. Any help is appreciated.
