Help needed to make a video

I want to make a video of a song.

I have Sony supplied software that came with Sony NEX3, I also have Canon P&S camera software that is not checked out yet.
I have microphone that came with AVR to Audissy callibration,plus I have microphone to be played with karaoke music system.

I have 720p and 1280p capable cameras to shoot video.

What else do I need?

I will be starting of my own anyway, still thought of asking if some one already tried his/her hand and can share some good information.

I would suggest record a song separately if you want good quality audio.. record it..play it and make a video just like for movies (lip syncing) .. and then mix them up.. now u've got a good audio quality video..

And then post it here so that we all can see..

Oh by the way you need a recording software to record your song.. try to get a general software or you can use Cubase but you need sometime to understand these tools.. also you need a good mic...
