Help No audio from HDMI

Hi!
Iam trying to connect my Tatasky HD box to my Samsung Plasma directly through HDMI.I do not get audio only video.I had changed in the menu of the HD box under audio settings to HDMI but it gets back to SPDIF .Any suggestions as to the correct setup ( incidentally my AVR has some power problems hence direct connect.)

Try changing HDMI cable.

Did you by any chance turned off audio over HDMI in TV when you were using AVR for audio?

Are you connecting the HD box to HDMI-1 on the samsung? If so, try plugging in the HDMI cable to any other HDMI slot on the TV.

Might/should solve it.

I guess you are connecting to HDMI1/DVI port of your TV. Try Connecting to HDMI 2/3/4 and see if you are getting the sound.

Thanks all . tried HDMI 2/3 with a new cable still no Audio.In TS HD box the settings under sound is refusing to set to HDMI falls back to SPDIF even i set the saving as HDMI and PCM it falls back.Any suggestions

Iam not sure ,if so how do i revert (My Denon AVR is down) i checked in the Tv Audio settings set it to TV speakers.
