Help With Home Theater

Hey All,
I want to buy a new home theater.. my range is 45-55k..
Looked at alot of models here n delhi.. but the problem is the avr that they r giving. all of them are old technology. i want something which is 7.1 and can decode hd audio.
Which ones do you think i should go for. and should i get imported from abroad or get it here in india itself..
right now i have thought about Sony Str-Dh720
and kef 1505.
My sister is coming back from hong kong this weekend so i can tell her to carry one for me as in india all electronics are super expensive..
And also is there a grey market in delhi where i can get these products, but original. All help would be appreciated.

Hey.. is the budget you mentioned only for avr or avr+speaker combo? What you mean by old technology? Have you checked Denon 1911, Onkyo 508 or 608, Yamaha 667 models? They are all in your budget and are 7.1 with hd audio decoding and 3d ready. Also if you wait a little, new models will be available soon.

You can check out models from Denon such as 1611, 1911 or even 2311 which are all within your budget and as of now due to model revision, there are good discounts available on all the above models.

55 k both for avr and speakers... by old techonology means the ones which are here on offer in delhi are not 7.1 and do not have hd decoders and basically have upto 2 hdmi ports which i do not think is sufficient.. coz if i am putting this much of money i rather have a system which is for keeps..
Denon 1911 looks nice... have also thought about yamaha rx-v567..
what does sub must be self powered mean.. would i have to purchase a separate amp for that... ignore the ignorance i am kinda new to this..
i was planning to buy a normal samsung 25k home theater till a little while earlier till one of my frndz who happens to be a dj introduced me to av receivers.. since then i found out that they are the heart of the system..
i have auditioned pioneer todoroki in ambi mall... was almost about to buy it for 40k till i saw the reciever which they were giving and that was i vsx 320.. which i thought was useless coz that would have had me wanting to upgrade within a few months..
then i auditioned the sony ddw5500... that was alright but again when i thought about buying it the receiver which they were giving was again not upto the mark..
i am getting a very good deal on the yamaha receiver and kef speakers i mentioned in the USA for about 40k approx but getting it to india is the big hassle...
i know i am all over the place... but that is how it is... i am totally confused at the moment so i would need a lot of help..
so if u got tell me the prices of the products u mentioned in india and where i can get them from that would be totally super..Again thanx in advance for all the help..
