I am Wilson from Noida. I recently got a Jamo 5.1 from abroad and unknowingly connected the sub to the power socket as it is of 110V into our native 220V outlet.

No sound, no smell nothing but its not powered on. I wanted to check if the power circuit of the sub be changed to suit our 220V power input and where can I get help in this?

Thanks.

Take it to the service center. Mostly a fuse or transformer inside might have gone. There, tell them to power it with 220 volts. Otherwise u have to buy a SDT.

I have given it in the service center and the guy says that if cannot be changed to 220V as all the parts in it are designed for 110V only. Is that true?

I plugged it and as it was not powering on removed from the power source. When got it checked with the tech, he said some parts were damaged and need to be replaced. Not sure how far it is true, but I do not have an option to believe him.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
