Hi,

I'm really confused about which sub-woofer to choose, I live in Kolkata and many brands are not available here so i'm thinking of ordering online. My max budget is 48k but if there is something better in lower price range its even better.

I've zeroed in on SVS SB12 for 48k shipped online by audire.
Is there other better options in this price range?

Also my room is small 12x12, i wan't the sub for movies and i want something which is tight and powerful.

Also what is your opinion about Deftech Super Cube III compared to SVS SB12?

Thanks,
S.G

You have a very small room. Earthquake MINIME P8 will be an excellent choice. Its in your budget and wont take much of your room space. Its a powerful sub and the bass is very tight. 8" driver and 320W Class-D powered sub.

SVS will take too much space of your room.

Hi S.G,
did you consider HSU VTF2. I am not sure of their current price, you can check them with Audire. Some of our forum members have sub(Frankmehtha is one I can remember). I haven't heard this one personally, but it is said to be a very musical one with a tight and fast response. You can search for HSU VTF 2 in our forum. Hope this helps.

I have Emotiva Ultra Sub 12, 499$ now from Emotiva on sale. Pretty happy with it in a 10 by 20 room. It is tight and Powerful with 300 watt amp.

You can find reviews online.

When it was 429$ is costed me 35053 rs shipped to India.

PM me if need more info.

who is the dealer of this sub in India?

I recommend that you go in for an active sub in which the sub cabinet does not house the amp inside it. Think of what all those vibes, booms and rumbles, not to mention thumping bass-laden music will do to the amp in the long run, besides the weight of the amp straining the enclosure. Do audition the lithos q-bic sub or else hop over to siliguri for an audition in mid-june sometime. The sub is fed by this semi-professional amp in mono bridged mode.

You can even opt for the amav av2.4p which has twice the output and pair two classy subs at the same time

qbic

In case you are still hellbent on a usual active sub, then go in for any of the hsu subs depending on your room size as given here
