I have a Kenwood 3in1 music system rated at 1500W PMPO. The main unit is damaged and beyond repairs. But both the speakers are in good condition and basically the sound quality of these speakers is excellent. Each speaker's name plate indicates impedance of 6 ohms and power of 100 W RMS max. I want to use these speakers. Would it be a good idea to connect them to a car CD player of suitable power output ? I mean get a car CD player along with electrical supply adapter for it and then connect the two Kenwood speakers to it. If so, which make /model / power rating car CD player would be suitable?

Is there any other practical way of using them ?

Thank you for your help.

Why would you want to do that it would just work out more expensive

Since you are based in Pune . go to the electronics market near MG road . Pick up a cheap amp ( 2 - 3k ) . buy a cheap Dvd/CD player (rs1500).
and you are good to go .

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
