Hi,
I requested one of the diyaudio.com forum member to etch a pcb for Hiraga Le Monstre amplifier. PCB is going to be a hand made. Though readymade pcbs available from Jims audio and some other vendor, I prefer to go with his one. Below is the extract from my mail conversation.
PCB pair: 30$
Resistor: 3$ [ Quad ]
Plus shipping and paypal charge.
Anyone interested please let me know.
Thanks
Badri

Hello,
I can only make PCBs in the lab and they take me something like a whole day to print etch drill etc. For this much effort I would charge something like $30 per pair plus postage, which is definitely expensive for you I imagine. Maybe you could search at the Chinese market for a much cheaper way? But if you want I can do it, just let me know. I do not own a proffessional lab so the process has to be done manually, but the results are very good I can assure you.
Another interesting part that I have is the final power resistors. I have lots of them matched to 0.001% on both thermal shock and normal temperatures. All of these are non-inductive metal oxide types.
I would charge something like $3 the quad, and I will select the closest matched resistors.
Just let me know if you need anything.
A note, this amplifier sounds rubish on cheap speakers, as any amplifier will do, but on a pair of audio nirvana it is just GREAT!
Obtain a good speaker pair and even the cheapest amp will sound 60% better without changing anything else on the system. Speakers are like the antenna of a radio. No good antenna no good reception, no matter how expensive and sophisticated is your receiver.
