How Do You Navigate Music Files?

Hi Guys. I was just pondering over this issue for quite sometime. How do you guys navigate through the folders in media players? Does not it necessitate a TV? In most amps of moderate level there is no display. I am not sure if the AVR display and guide you there. There are so many files, afterall, navigating to the folder without display is not an easy task? Any ideas here?

I use a very small portable LCD TV (like the ones used in cars). It stands next to my media player with the wires hidden behind. I switch it off from the power source when the files are playing and use it only for browsing.
