Hi Guys,

Currently I use my AK70 connected to chord mojo in my hifi setup. This connection is fairly simple using a micro usb to micro usb. However if I were to upgrade to Rega DAC is it possible to connect the AK70 to Rega DAC since I have my music library stored in AK70. This is much easier than using a computer. Please suggest.

Thanks,
Sunder.

AK70 only does USB audio out so if Rega DAC supports USB input then it should work, you may require micro USB to USB-A OTG cable.

Does this 'Rega' need drivers on windows and Mac? If it needs drivers it wont work anyways.

You can get a generic USB OTG - adapter like this https://www.amazon.in/Micro-Cable-Tablets-Mobiles-Black/dp/B00H99JW68 and then connect a Type B cable like this to it https://www.amazon.in/ClassyTek-Hi-...TF8&qid=1533903019&sr=1-6&keywords=usb+type+b Make sure the OTG adapter works !

If this setup works , I know the convienience which you are looking for. I had been using the AK connect app on the phone as a remote, with all my music from phone and network drive and AK70 switched.

I have a JDS C5D which I tried using this way, with two cables as I couldnt find a micro usb to mini usb in my case.

For windows it does require a drive however for mac it does not require a driver. I do believe if I manage to get the cable it will definitely work

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
