How to connect HP laptop to Samsung LCd

I'm having a HP dv4 tx laptop with HDMI port and a Samsung series 5 LCD. I want to connect my Laptop to my TV and watch movies. Is it possible? And how?

Hi Cosmoss,

all you need is an hdmi cable. If your os is vista this is how i did it between my dell inspirion and sony bx 400 connect hdmi from tv to notebook. chnage the video source to hdmi on your tv, then on your desk top right clik and you will get video output to , there you will get the option for output to large screen tv.. and there you go! its really cool to be doing skype video calls from your tv
