HT building from scratch

Hi guys,
Give me some valuable suggestions to build a HT and additional 2 music systems from scratch........suggestions on any component is welcome......am a complete neophyte in tghis area....so plz mention d outlets as well where i can audition them.....thanking in anticipation.
