Hi,
The following list of speakers will be used for the PC purpose.
Now that the LCD price are sunk, making the PC a home theatre is a nice option.
Moreover playing the files from the HDD is far easy than inserting the disk everytime in your player.
And of course, the dedicated CD/DVD/Bluray players are of TOP NOTCH quality than software players, but still . . .

The below listed speakers are the one that I've known so far. If you know any better speakers, please suggest it here.

~6,000
MX5021 - 2.1
X-540 - 5.1

~10,000
G51
FX5051

~17,000
Z5500

~20,000
Onkyo HT S3100

~23,000
Onkyo HT S3200

Apart from these, I've heard about YHT-195, JBL Cinesystem 133 (please somebody confirm their prices and availability).

No Specific Budget.

The best speakers for those particular price range (budget). Cause I'll be using these suggestions not only for me, but for others members of hifi and various other forums and to my friends too. Each one of them will be having different budgets, so i'll be able to recommend the best speakers for their budget . . .
So please help me out guys. Jus tell the speakers that you feel as the best in that particular price range :)

I got these prices from Deltapage and several Other forums.

~6,000
MX5021 - 2.1
X-540 - 5.1

MX5021 is excellent for music.
X540 - Have not heard.

~10,000
G51
FX5051

Performance is fair of FX5051.
Have not heard G51

~17,000
Z5500

Only good for gaming on the PC. Way too much boomy bass and not good for anything like music/movies.

~20,000
Onkyo HT S3100

~23,000
Onkyo HT S3200

3100 is easily the best of the lot here for movies and games, does DTS and DD. Not very great, but it's a decent entry into the world of HT and like I said the best of the lot. Not good for music though.

3200 - I have not heard yet, but should be in the same league as the 3100.

Phew!
Was waiting for such a reply "moserw"! Thanks a lot.

U say 3100 is not good for music - then what is? 3200 atleast? or Yammy or jbl?

Please mention about any other left out speakers too (of course, the good sounding ones)

YHT-195 is available for 23k @ e-zone outlets in Chennai, recently got one. I auditioned HTS3100 and YHT-195, to me Yamaha was relatively better than Onkyo and it also has a powered sub.

I have the YHT-195 too, bought from Reliance Digital in Bangalore for ~25k in May. Preferred it to the Onkyo due to the powered sub.

I use it exclusively for movies and highly recommend it as an entry level HTiB.

Thanks

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
