HTib vs AVR+spks and DTS Vs. Prologic

You are correct probably, As I said I want decent sound from my Sound system probably Logitech might suffice my need am not a keen audiophile but the idea of AVR + Speakers is tempting.

I have heard Onkyo TX307 which sounds good on jamo speakers.

Would this work with the Yamaha Speakers I mentioned, NSP270? This two would come to me for 20K.

Would love to hear if this is any good.

Cheers

Hi Vyerth,
I would say the Onkyo S 3300 would real VFM.. Its got HDMI 1.4 and more importantly it can decode Dolby True HD and DTS HD MA which are like the latest ones used in bluray..
The drawback would be passive subwoofer but that shd be a problem for entry level i guess.. It shd cost u around 24..
I had bought the HK 133 plus JBL speakers as i found the sound better and active sub but the AVR is not worth the money.. But am sure u get the HDMI ports now with HK AVR 134 ..
The set up which you are talking about am not sure if its a good idea..
In case if it doesnt fir your budget then you can go for Logitech Z2300(i guess you only get the updated model of this now) which has got better reviews here in this forum..

But one thing for sure.. DTS and DD are mandatory when u look to buy such systems..

Cheers

Thanks for suggesting. I have seen/heard some systems. Right now am going for avr with speakers costing better or same.
Bought yamaha speakers which were going really low at price and sounded good on pluggging in and now dealing with avr. Probably onkyo 308 or denon1311.

Anyone has a good offer on these models?

Cheers!
