Hum sound in Samsung

Hi

My CRT TV , Samsung is producing a Hum/kirrrr sound whenever white colour is displayed. As long black, or any other colour is dominnant in the picture, the sound is not there...

What could be the reason??

maybe the cathode gun overall or one of the colour guns is breaking down. Replacing it might be pretty expensive if thats the case. If the TV is more than 5 years old - it may be worthwhile replacing it overall.

DO NOT BY ANY CHANCE TRY TO OPEN THE TV - ITS LIFE THREATENING

Call a service center - and see what is the problem.

But before that check a few things -

1. Take off all input sources and check the problem exist with other sources - DVD etc. If exits call a service center
2. If problem exists with Cable/Tata sky - there might be an grounding/interference issue - check the connections
