Hey Everyone - Hope you're well :-)

It's been a while since I logged onto this site and I'm sorry for the delay in responding to some of your messages (wasn't aware).

This was my previous post - https://www.hifivision.com/threads/...dayton-audio-bass-shakers.98043/#post-1078734

Got another subgrade itch sometime in July and I decided that I wanted to change the sealed 21" custom sub to a ported one. Got on the phone with Albin again and he changed the sealed enclosure to a ported one -
It's port tuned at 28hz and for me personally, I like how it sounds better now :D

Since it doesn't go that low, the bass shakers do an amazing job of complimenting it. Instead of driving it with the Crown XLS 2502 like I used to, I got a Fosi amp to do that job - https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07L6FN97Z?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1

Oh and I sold the Tonewinner D4000 sub because I didn't need it anymore.

Oh and if you ever plan on building a big sub like this one (it's bigger than my 10kg IFB Front Load Washing Machine), please put handles and wheels to it. I didn't do that for the sealed one and handling that was a nightmare! 😅

How do I test my newly purchased subwoofer? How do I know it's hitting as hard as it is supposed to be hitting?
You'll need to get a UMIK-1 calibration mic and measure it with REW. I tried wrapping my head around it but it was too much for me. You can take help from the good folks on here or Chatgpt can help you.
