I did not know subwoofer phase alignment

Once you set crossover verify target curve after you calculate in Dirac Bass control before transferring filter to AVR.

Response from dirac team regarding setting crossover over. If you want to adjust phase yourself do it before you run calibration , not after.
damn why subwoofer setup is that difficult. By default bass crontrol sets crossover at 70hz which i dont like because bass is wierd with 70hz like in movie twister opening scene that thunder sound i guess comes from speakers not woofer as it was not deep. So 70hz is no option for me. Also I save 3 filters with 80hz 90hz bass control and 1 normal dirac live only where we can choose our crossover manually. The thing is that 80 and 90hz both have same curve in rew no change. So crossover is not an issue. Also coming to phase i set it to 45 degree now what i noticed is that in movie no time to die 4k, Those 3 guys go inside the bar that music did not have any bass before but now it was like the bass that we feel deep it was good. But with phase 0 it was not there. What now? Also should i turn off dirac and check phase once first which has more spl i also bought one spl metre app in android sos hould i check first which phase has more spl or bass quality as well?

Once you hit calculate with different cross over is the target curve not changing? Choose whichever is smooth.

With the help of RTA try to find which frequency is that and check that frequency with different phases.

Ideally base control should have fixed phase issues, anyway you can try to adjust it before doing calibration.

if you still have issues, do share your project to dirac team, they are responsive.

Yes phase control does effect more in Woofer settings as i mentioned in my previous post. The phase control generally change direction of LFE according to room. For Homes with square or rectangle sized room , setting 45" works well. it also depends on the sub woofer position in the room.
As i mentioned in the previous post , set sub wooofer cross over to 80 hz in AVR , and completely turn of frequency filter in the Sub.

Dirac or Audyssy room correction softwares set subwoofer settings slightly high . Try adjusting manually according to your room. It sets SP distance too high generally , Try reducing step by step and arrive in to correct level This will also help in getting correct LFE from woofer.

rta is new thing for me need to learn it. Yes i tried many frequency cross in dirac nothing is changing curve its same exact i guess speaker cross is not an issue

subwoofer is in front right to the left of right front speaker. subwoofer lfe in svs app is already off. sp means sitting position? We cant alter speaker frequency and distances manaully as bass control locks them up and are greyed out

Thats good to go.👍

Yes.. its speaker distance from your listening position. My Denon AVR allows to manually adjust the SP distance position even when audyssy is turned on.
Check your AVR manual on how to manually adjust the SP distance settings. Anyways i hope now you tuned up your woofer up to your taste .
You can ignore the above settings if you already achieved good sound stage of woofer.

with audeseey u can adjust manually but with dirac bass control everything greys out so not possible

can you tell how much increment should we do phase change and test it? from 0 to 18. Increase minimum how much each time? from 0

just change it to few (+5 or -5) points more/less and check it improves sub sound. The problem with room correction software is it sets sub too high or sometimes lower in distance than room size. Setting to optimal distance for sub will align with LCR speakers and will create better sound stage.

hi can you also tell how to find best speaker crossover for speaker? with help of rew and manually as well by listening

The best cross over setting for speaker is 80hz as per THX standard. Set cross over at 80hz and set the speaker size to small in your AVR settings. This should work good.

Till now measured till 50hz frequency sweep. But did not find much spl difference in other frequencies but 20hz. Is testing 5 increment in phase not required? Should i quickly test 0 35 45 65 90 135 180 phase? I have pb 2000 pro. i used spl metre in mobile

finally moved my bedding a bit and pushed subwoofer towards my listening position and guess what that massive null at 72 to 78hz has got better cant believe it but it has reduced to half but not fully need to see now in rew what dirac bass control has done to it. Now my sub is 56 from front wall. Only issue is i need to put it back again and again when i run my ht but will manage it.
