I have a 7 year old inspiron I've managed to keep running in ship shape - the only gap had been its onboard bluetooth module which was stuck at 2.1 and skipped a lot, and since it was proprietary, there was no option of upgrading it. had almost decided to get a USB BT 4.0 adapter when i saw that the newer pci Wifi cards have BT inbuilt, and my laptop has a half height mini pcie adapter.

my wifi was also now bottlenecked by my wifi adapter after i got a 85Mbps ACT connection ( the laptop maxed out at 32). so bought a 7260 Adapter.
Now no skipping, better sound quality, and I am getting full speed of my internet! :clapping:

this helped me choose an adapted from ebay (cost 12USD)
please do your research before buying - generally dell laptops have no problems, but other brands restrict the upgradeability in the firmware
