Hi Virendra,

Maybe its too late replying to your post, but both these movies have been released on DVD. Check out at any local Music Store..I saw them in Planet M yesterday. Other new titles I found are "The Incredible Hulk", "Hancock", etc. Hope this helps.

Hi,

I think the Indiana Jones DVD has been released. I have read the review in AV Max November'08 issue. The rating for audio and video is 5 out of 5!

Released quite a while ago. Have rented it from Seventymm a long time ago. BTW great movie. Good to see Indiana Jones has not lost it and Harrison Ford is as good as ever. Cate Blanchett was great to top it off.

Not trying to start a war here, but just watched the h264 (blue-ray) print and was not too amused with the jungle action towards the end.. the CGI was very apparent and seemed very un-spielberg-ish. To compare, I also watched the DVDs of Last Crusade and Lost Ark over the same weekend and I still feel the action scenes in the older ones were far too good! Still the way everyone's been bashing the IJ&TKOCS is totally unwarranted for. Its pretty fun to watch, though not as good as the crusade or the ark.

Just off the topic, some of the movies I would like to own on DVD this year are TDK (its releasing on somewhere mid dec), Wall-E (already out in the US) and Wanted (Dec 2) - one of the most awesome kick ass action flick of the year, loved the sound track too. Everyday is exactly the same - Nine Inch Nails kicks butt.

Hi Bhaskie,

No way dude. What's there to fight over or start a war over? I too totally agree the old Indie was way better. I have all 3 parts of the first trilogy and they are one of my all time favorites. Coming to the new Indiana Jones, while its not in the same league as the old ones, it still was load of fun for me personally and also a lot better compared to some of the recent Hollywood blockbusters. In recent times, only Iron Man is a movie that really rocked big time, but then again my personal opinion.

micjak - What's TDK? I was wondering about it... I have yet to catch up on Wall-E, my sister was raving about it, Wanted was a great flick I thoroughly enjoyed.

Micjak, this post has gone completely crazy and way off from what the OP wanted. But it is fun.

Wall-E is superb. I have seen in it the cinema hall. I am not sure, but I think the DVD is also out. Certainly a movie worth collecting for the super graphics.

By Wanted, are you referring to the one directed by Timur Bekmambetov with James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, and Angelina Jolie? I saw this movie last week. The plot, per se, is very good, but I did feel that the special effects and editing could have been far better. In one scene I could clearly see a toy train. And both Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie look jaded. Morgan was so good in Bruce Almighty and even Evan Almighty.

But then Wanted has made 300 million dollars in the US !!!!! Is that not ironic?

I also believe Quantum Of Solace was released first in India, a full week before UK and the US? Wow !

Cheers

Wall-E is ground breaking animation, if you see the how much real life the animation looks (photo finish) when compared to Pixar's previous outings like finding nemo, Cars etc.

Yes, I am referring to Timur Bekmambetov's "wanted". That movie is one hell of a ride. My fav movie for this year, the plot itself of a loser kicking some ass rocks. The stunt sequences the way they are choreographed are mind blowing. Especially the slow motion bits. Timur has a certain style of action choreography that comes across very disticntly if you have seen Nightwatch and Daywatch. He's one guy obsessed with physical motion of moving objects, and he does present them magnificently. I didnt think that special effects were not A list, they looked pretty cool to me. Out and out every moment of the movie is an adrelanin rush.

Quantum of Solace - they say its not as good as Casino Royale. And the way it was marketed I think was way over the top. I guess Columbia Tristar was trying to cash on the Diwali Season here. Haven't seen it yet will do soon for OLGA ...

Har har! ROTFL.. I gotta check that out man :)

You gotta shut off your brains before you watch "Wanted".
I watched it a month back and felt it was way over-hyped. Maybe was expecting too much. I actually enjoyed "Hitman" more than this flick.

bhaskie's $0.02

To each his own, i totally freaked on WANTED, saw it thrice in Theatre. I look forward to owning a US version DTS DVD, I have a frind coming over and my list had wanted, wall-e, TDK. I especially loved last scene of the movie and the panning shot of the bullet and the voice over was totally cool poking the viewers -

Six weeks ago I was ordinary and pathetic, just like you. Who am I now? Account manager? Assassin? Just another tool who was mind-****ed into killing his father. I am all of these. I am none of these. Who am I now? This is not me fulfilling my destiny. This is not me following in my father's footsteps. This is definitely not me saving the world.

This is not me... this is just a mother****ing decoy.

This *is* me taking control; from Sloan, from the fraternity, from Janice, billing reports, ergonomic keyboards, from cheating girlfriends and sack of shit best friends. This is me taking back control of my life. WHAT THE F HAVE YOU DONE LATELY

Agreed, dialogues and the plot in general were very good. I just felt the cinematography and special effects could have been better.

I will see if I can get an original DVD and relook at the movies.

Cheers
