Interesting verdicts

I have come across this TopTenReviews site many times and mostly I see that their lists are useless.
When scourging for reviews for a product I always follow the principle of visiting the sites that are entirely dedicated to that kind of products.
And then again, reviews ought to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Ya true review should always be taken with a pinch of salt but verdicts are different thing. Over here odd 17K Philips HTiB is ruling the chart over Onkyo and Yamaha and all ... Isn't that interesting?

It's because these kind of reviews/verdicts focus more on the marketable features rather than performance.

Something is wrong with that review -
Frequency Range (Hz) 180 - 20,000 20 - 40,000 80 - 50,000 20 - 20,000 70 - 20,000 40 - 15,000 5 - 10,000 5 - 10,000 55 - 20,000 55 - 20,000

How does the 2 onkyo's - the HT-S8400 and the 9400 manage to make 5 hz. But cap off at 10K. And did they hear 5 hz to make sure. LOL.

They could have thrown numbers at random and made more sense.

And if it was even accurate, a system that makes 180 hz to 20K the #1 will not ever rank above a system that makes 20-40K - #2, or 20-20K - #4 or even the 55 hz ones #9 and #10.
In fact that 180 hz with subwoofer is the worst of the bunch but its #1 ???

Cool.
