Please state your budget for the stereo system. The best option for these days of digital music would be:

- CD transport with digital out
- Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC)
- Stereo Power Amp
- Stereo Speakers
- Cables and interconnects

There will be wide choices. Speakers alone could vary from 10K to 4L.
