yesterday my jamo s626 left tower made crackling noise in tweeter
and there was no response from mids when i increased individual levels
also there wasno response
then i turned the volume knob high then it came back to life and now
working as normal is this something i need to be worried

its 130 rms long and 210 short
the amp is 160w rms have i fried the towers?
have i fried the tweeters
**** i watch movies at high volume

It is possible due to sudden volume burst in movies that speaker...especially tweeters can get damaged or blown off....

Check with low volume music etc.....there would be a burnt smell emitting from the tweeter if blown...

Which AVR do you use? Jamos are usually 6 ohms load.....is the AVR 8 ohms?

volume pot has gathered some dust or carbon....rotate volume knob in both direction speedily while amp is in off mode and see...

Hi

Thats great then nothing to worry about.....hope the speakers are configured as per AccuEQ Room Acoustic Calibration feature.

It could be a temp isolated incident....please run on conservative levels....sometimes if the source content is bad (playback) it will produce a bad experience in terms of sounding and or even damage speakers.....
