JBL Control 1

Any opinions on JBL Control 1? I have second hand pair and and find it is good front speakers in HT setup Now planning to use it as stereo with Marantz PM 66 se or Rotel RA 935 BX ( I am getting either of the amp used)
How will be the performance? Will addition of Lithos passive subwoofer will give better effect??

Are you sure you want to use studio monitors in your setup? The sound would be a bit sterile (or perhaps that is the wrong word for it) as compared to a bookshelf or floorstander. Unless you are getting a unbeatably low price my (admittedly uninformed) opinion is to look around for better options.

jbl Control1 is a great speakers , but its a 4 ohms and if you use it with your HT Receiver , lot of heat generates .

for a HT you need somewhat power handling speakers at least look for some 8" towers or bookshelves
