Just launched : Marantz AV8801 & MM8077

Marantz have just launched their latest reference grade Pre-Pro.

The AV8801 is a beast. Reference grade, 11.2 channels, 4K ready, XLR in & out, toroidal transformer, 32/192 DAC, Audyssey XT32, 4 zones, and even a 4 port Ethernet hub !

The 8077 is a 7 channel power amp accompanying it.

The Marantz US website is getting hammered right now,so, frustratingly, can't find out more.

Beast of a price too, though !

Damn Viki,

The AV8801 Processor has a list price of $3600 and the MM8077 power is at $2400 = $6000

Gonna look away. Simply cant afford it.

However expect the combo to be price around 20-30% more in India
so between Rs 3,50,000 - Rs 4,50,000 for the combo

Pricey..But hey sometimes what you pay is what you get. The network player capability on their AV 7005 pre pro is a big plus for me.

That's big money.
It would be nice to see marantz sells an AV/Receiver in the 8 series. because the marantz receivers sell for less money than the similarly priced marantz pre-pros, in India. The Sr7005 was selling for around 75k while the Av7005 were selling for more than 100k.
