Hi Folks,
I am closely watching this thread for last 1.5 months as soon as I planned to get a new home theatre. I also did a survey for over this duration.
My usage will be 85% Music and rest for movies. Also in music I usually listen to soft pops, tagore songs, gazals and instrumentals from Yanni, Zakeer Hussain, Rahul Sharma, Anushka Shankar, Bikram Ghosh etc. So when I did the survey I gave a minute look throughout all the ranges of frequency.
So while doing survey I kept in mind that:
a. For gazals, tagore songs and pops midrange is necessery along with woofer and tweeter.
b. For beats and taals in instrumentals low range i.e. sub-woofer should be good enough to produce thumping but tight bass.
My room size is 130 SQ.FT. and upto now I am hearing to my altec lansinc active speakers connected to my PC.
Lastly after survey I am standing within two option:
1. Yamaha RX-V373/RX-V375
+
Sonodyne Speakers. I got demo in sonodyne listening room with 5 genie1 and roar108.
2. Pioneer todoroki RS32 which I got demo in Reliance digital.
Now pioneer package RS32 can be got for Rs. 32000/- with a blue ray player at 3K. It has midrange speakers along with two woofer and a tweeter in it's FS front speakers and also have a active sub. But how good it is to take it home away? how would be the service in kolkata?
Whereas Sonodyne has a reputation for producing quality speaker. Read the review for Sonus 1501 V3 in which they are claiming that this can produce frequency of all ranges [including midrange] and output seamlessly though it has one woofer and one tweeter.
the package of sonodyne[4 Sonus 1501 V3 + 1 Sonus C2501 + 1 Roarr 210]+yamaha is coming closely to 80K. Will it be Value for Money?
Can anybody suggest which shall I go for?
If sonodyne then also can anybody suggest which one is better for my room size and my listening? Sonus or genie?
