Well, I have actually been looking at the 401 and the 428. Very good specifications. But then I daresay not much can be said just by poring over the specifications.

Can the tube gurus take a look at these and give their thoughts?

Looks interesting, and seems like the tubes on MP401 can be interchanged with different types which might let us experiment the sound given by various tubes, though i know that this "ROLLING" (as it is known) can be a costly affair..!

They sure do. The brands given on the volume control, power switches and capacitors all sound somewhat familiar. But I would not know until the tube experts here chip in.
