Laptop to Home theatre

Hello All,

I have bought Philips HTS3564, it has only Digital optical and coaxial input and no 5.1 analog input. But it has a aux input.
My Laptop supports 5.1 audio out. It has a 3 port output where RCA cables can be connected.

Is there anyway to convert the 5.1 analog out from my laptop into digital optical/coaxial input ?

Could you post pictures of the laptop ports.
It's not clear when say that 5.1 channel analog audio is sent via 3 RCA ports.

Post your laptop make and model number. Laptops that comes with 5.1 analog out, might have the digital co-axial output (I've seen microphone port triples as Mic,C/Sw and Digital Coax out. Some of Lenovo laptops had even Optical out, through mic port) Check your sound card configuration software for details.

If it doesn't have co-ax out, your option is to buy a usb sound card with digital coax/optical out.
