I am considering getting a projector. At the outset I'd like to mention that I am sensitive to the rainbow effect. So I am thinking of LCD projectors. I have heard (but not actually seen for myself) that LCD projectors have weak black levels as compared to DLP projectors. Can anyone on the forum who has done a side by side comparision confirm this? Maybe the current crop of LCD projectors have improved in this regard??
Also, does anyone have any experience with the Sony VPL DX120 LCD projector? It boasts 7000 hours in Eco mode, and I know that eco mode is bright enough for my purposes.
