Line Out and Headphone Out Whats the difference?

Dear All,

What is the difference between connecting a CD Player from the RCA Line Out Connectors and from the Headphone out Jack to an Amplifier. Both are Outputs.

What is their output impedance? Does it affect their sound quality? Which is better and why?

Kindly discuss and guide.

I think line out gives pure signal that means without any tone (bypassing tone circuit) while as headphone gives you output with tone.
