Hi All,
I am Karthik from Chennai. New to this forum and not an audiophile. I am looking for some inputs to buy a 2.0 or 2.1 active speaker system to use in my 120 sq. ft room. I already have a Marshall emberton 2 and looking to upgrade something that can fill a room with clarity. My budget is around 50000 Rs, so i started with Woburn 3, but it has lot of negative reviews in terms of performance and service support. Next, i looked up Edifier S2000MK3 which seems to be good(but again lot of complaints about product going Kaput in a year). My aim is to have it for around 5 years if nothing goes wrong,
Given that i don't understand much about Audio - like tweaking equalizer or adjusting bass treble etc
1, Should i buy a monitor speaker (yeah - basic question) - as it is not end user oriented.
2, Do you recommend something better at the same price range?
3, Is it worth going for MK3 just for the audio experience and quality of system?
4, what about below models, many suggested in this forum in the same range?
ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41
Qacoustic M20HD
Any other suggestion also let me know. I am not going for passive + amp setup due to lack of knowledge.

I have ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41 and I am happy with the performance. I paired them with Wiim Mini to send lossless audio. I use them for near field(desktop) listening while working. Bass from speakers is enough for my setup. No complaints so far. I can send you some pics if you want.

I prefer the Q Acoustics M20HD. It has a warmer sound and superior stereo imaging compared to the ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41, although the ELAC might have better features or connectivity. Are you sure that the QAcoustic M20HD costs less than 50k? I believe it's closer to 75k, but I'm not certain about the exact price.
