Why dont u go with with a AVR and 3.0 speakers and add the surrounds and subwoofer later.....70 K will be a decent budget for the setup I recommended....

Hi

Please review the following Combination and suggest your opinion

Denon 1713
Polk TSI300
Polk PW110
Polk CS10
Wharefedale DFS 10

thanks

denon polk go well and is a very populer combo in members..
go with it.buy step by step.dont hurry.upgrade slowly.
buy avr+2 fronts now..others later

or

buy avr+centre+sub(only for movie set up)..others later...

remember one thing do you really need a floorstander or not....if cannot use the full power of a floorstander better to use a high end bookshelf.

2113 is powerfull avr...good one.its important to be liked by you,how you felt.
demo some other speakers with the same avr and same files...and decide.

Hi,

I have shorlisted Denon 1713 AVR with following Towers.

Polk TSI 400
Wharfedale Diamond 9.5
Jamo C605
Magnat monitor Supreme 1000

Which of the above is gud combination?
Proportion to Music and movies is 50%- 50%

regards
:)

Since now you looking at towers, would you have a chance to listen to the following?:

  • Paradigm's Monitor 7
  • Quadral's Argentum (can't remember the base model)
  • Mordaunt Short's Aviano 6
  • Klipsch's Synergy series (a level below Reference series)
  • Monitor Audio's M4 (I think this is the name of the tower)
  • Tannoy's Mercury v4
The list is not is any particular order and all of these would have decent pair of towers below 50k.

The Tannoy is percieved to be of particularly great VFM as the towers are (or were?) at ~34k and sound very nice.

Chennai has lots of options so don't skimp on auditions before deciding.

As for your current selection, my 2 cents are:

  • 1713 may be challenged a bit drive the C605s efficiently so make sure you listen to the pairing carefully.
  • Wharfedales are very warm speakers so just make sure that the recessed mids cater to your music taste.
  • TSIs are fairly bright speakers but often end up with not so great ratings from reviewers. Don't let that bother you as long as you like those. People may often recommed giving the RTi series a listen too. RTi is a step-up from TSi series. Listen to A5s if possible.
  • Magnat is "supposed" to have slightly loose bass (uncontrolled/boomy). I have not heard them personally but sharing the opinion nevertheless.
