GeorgeO posted an interview with Daniela Manager, which prompted me to check out the company and their UK site.
Human hearing evolved initially as a survival mechanism to locate
a potential threat. Today our hearing still works by analysing the
first transient pressure change from a sound source. Unlike
traditional speakers, the Manger sound transducer accurately
reproduces transient pressure changes to give stunningly realistic
sound. This booklet explains why transient response is so important
and how the unique Manger sound transducer works

Notwithstanding the fact that the prices are way over my horizon, I'm fascinated by the concepts and what has been written, but nobody else responded on that thread.

Our high-end (and these are expensive, but far from being the most expensive speakers in the world) buyers/auditioners/researchers have a huge collective experience. I'd love to know if Dr.Bass, Shanthi, &co have heard these speakers and what they have to say about them. If only to know what to daydream about ;)

Thank you hydra... I should learn to search before speaking :o :o :o

What's worse is the plain evidence that I read at least one (now I think both) of those threads before!

Hey, so I'm getting [even] old[er]

Oh sure: the word was just an attention grabber!

But if there is perfection in a speaker, it is, perhaps, invisibility. Hearing the instruments, not the speaker.

Anyway, I'm very embarrassed to have missed those threads, one of which I contributed to, but, well, my ability to embarrass myself evolves every day too.

I'd love to hear these speakers: I certainly think they rate "daydreaming" about!

That's definitely one type of perfection :)
