Hi,
I need to pair a 7.1 Klipsch Rf82 package to a AVR,
I narrowed it to Marantz SR7005 and Onkyo TX NR 1009.
any valuable opinions?
Thanks

While buying a Marantz AVR, i happen to audition with Klipsch, there were really sounding excellent in a HTS setup, as well in2.0 pure direct mode. At the same time, same AVR with mardunt shorts was a poor combo, i tested.

I dont have any experience of Onkyo, but the usual perception in the community is that they are superior for movies over denons and marantzs. At the same time, i hear lot of heating problems about Onkyos.

All the best for your search.

The marantz i've selected is 125 watts per channel x7
and the onkyo is 135 watts per channel x9

marantz is around 65k, onkyo is around ???? (dont know).

Onkyo looks more feature rich also.

His number is 9811256782, M/s Hi Fi Zone, authorized by MZ Audio who are one of official importers of Marantz.

Yes guys
got to talk to mr tejinder of hifi zone
he sells the stuff without bill and warrenty

keeps marantz /denon/onkyo/
ppolk /ba /warfe/kef

all are india products and he said he has his methods to procure from the manufacturers that helps to keep the products low priced

will visist him soon

will post later the details

I'd rather go to an official dealer and pay few thousand extra to get official warranty. If the difference was a LOT then it make sense but not when its only 5-7k.

But thats just me...

Why don't you come and take an audition for NAD amplifiers. I believe they should gel well with horn loaded tweeter based speakers. Nonetheless, no harm in taking a demo.

I am looking to upgrade my AVR too, could you provide the price range for NAD AVRs. If they fit in my budget (35-45 k) I would take an audition.

Thanks for your input.
