So, i have had my Marantz receiver for almost 2 years now and it has worked flawlessly. I came home for lunch and turned it on to play music, (this was the first time using tidal) it played for about 30 seconds and i switched the sound mode to PURE DIRECT which i had only done a handful of times, walked away for literally 10 Seconds and heard 2 popping noises then the music cut. I ran over to the received to see what happened and i could smelt burn wires and it was off. Mind you i use this receiver every day for the last two years but maybe once of month turn it up close to reference level. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHAT MAY HAVE HAPPENED OR HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE? I have the receiver plugged into a panamax power conditioner so i can rule out a surge problem.
