hello friends I have bought Dali zensor 7 for fronts zensor vocal and zensor 1 for rear now m confused for the av receiver marantz or Yamaha.had Denon 1200 hooked with these speakers but the receiver stopped working in just 4 days it is a hdmi board failure so just excluded Denon.
Confused between marantz sr5010 and Yamaha rxa850 previously had Yamaha rx v673 and was very much happy with it

The HDMI board failure usually occurs because of a lightning surge inrush current which you may not have accounted for.
Try to get a heavy duty surge arrestor to protect your equipment.

Also Dali Zensor 7 would work well with Denon x2200w and up, Marantz 6010 and above etc.
Please enquire about the service centre's capabilities locally for these brands.

Dali pairs very well with Denon. I am using same setup as you do have with Denon X2000, if you want to skip Denon, you may look for Marantz. Denon and Marantz are like siblings for pairing with Dali

I m getting marantz sr5010 at 65000 and sr6010 is way more costly above 1lakh so m considering sr5010 just wanted to know any experience of it from FM

I am surprised you are getting it at 65k, the lowest price i got in Blore was 80k. Maybe check Denon X2200W (you can get it for 60k)

If you like Yamaha with dali .Go for Yamaha .You will get brighter and crisper sound with Yamaha & Dali setup. (I've experienced while doing auditioning).

Fairdeal and soundout both have quoted me 65000 for sr5010 and Yamaha rx a850 is a bit high at around 75000 and Yamaha does not have dts x while marantz have it

I have found Yamaha and Dali to be a great pairing provided there is enough power to drive the speakers. In my opinion these two complement each other.

Hi Nick101

IMHO if you have a decent budget, go for the Marantz as it is much better, warmer and musical...the speakers will pair well. I don't think you will run out of steam...if you are going to use a 5.1 setup, you can use the BI AMP feature and additionally power the fronts...

the 65k deal seems tempting....if still you are budget constraint, possibly you could look at buying good pre owned AVRs from forum members (refer to for sale by owner section) or see ads on olx, hi fi ads or quikr....

All the best....

Thanks everybody for your valuable suggestions. Have zeroed down on marantz sr5010 waiting for the stock to arrive

^^ you are getting it for very good price. In Bangalore I got a quote of 70k for sr5009 from DNI home theatre. But then I don't know any other dealer who deals with marantz. If someone can share details of Marantz dealers in Bangalore? Sorry for OT.

@OP: Have you bought the SR5010? If yes, then what price you paid for it? Is it with/without (proper-channel/import) bill and warranty?

I got a quote of 63k for import piece without warranty.

I too am looking for pricing of SR5010 and someone on my thread has quoted Profx is giving 15% discount on MRP of 69.9k, though I have not checked this further but this is for your info.

Thanks

Marantz sr5010 price 67000 with bill warranty
Sound out at Haji Ali Mumbai and Fairdeal at Crawford market are the vendors giving at this price.

@Nick101
Marantz SR5010 on paper promises to be a good receiver.
I own NR1605 (7.1) and it is a very capable receiver.

If you have the option of acquiring/auditioning NR1605/NR1606, please do so.
The only big difference is 1 or 2 Sub out and 50W vs 100W power output.

If you are not going to drive power hungry speakers 50W power output is very adequate for a small/medium sized room.

It may save cost on receiver, freeing up more cash for Speakers or other audio components

Cheers,
Raghu
