Marantz used AV receiver

Im just thinking to buy some used brands for my HT setup. Coz, Not much impressed in HTiB auditions..

Any help / Advise would be very much appreciated..

Wise choice... You can invest more on speaker and less on AVR... Physically inspect the AVR and then pick it up....

Look for AVR in the "For Sale by owner" section of the forum... Alternatively you can look @ OLX from chennai...

Does it need to have HDMI ?
In the non HDMI class - my favorites are Yamaha DSP A1, 3090, and onkyo tx sv 909 in that order.
HDMI - I like the marantz sr5002, and a denon 2807 and a 1910 in that order. HDMI receivers tend to have an issue, where the hdmi dies, and the whole amp is dead. The marantz is one possible exception to that.
