Marantz - Which Cd Player ?

Hello Friends,
I Would Like To Ask You For a Suggestion As To What CD Player Model shall I Buy .We Are Now Introducing a Chain Of Audiophile Portable Audio Stores In Punjab To start With .the First Office Is Coming Up In a Mall In Bathinda Town Call Mittals City Mall .The Name Of The Chain Would Be Audiostore .Well To sum up Each Store Will Have 2 Auditioning Sections .I would Like To Have a CD Player On Both These shelves .Earlier I Had a Good Chinese Player In My Headoffice In Chandigarh But Its Busted Now After Several Years Of Use .I Am Looking To Buy Three Units Of The Same .I Saw That They Have a 5 or 6 CD Changer CD Player Also and Also Several Other Models .I Would Not Like The Cost To Go Very High As There is No Return Of Investment Here .

2) If you are using them for demo purposes, use a cheap CD player as transport and use a DAC with that. That way your chances of failure will get reduced (you can any way replace the CD players).

Marantz CD6003 should be a good CDP for your purpose (demo). Even higher Marantz models use the same chip with changes to chassis, features, teansport etc. Checkout Denom's groupbuy thread for cd6003. Very good deal IMO.

Do You Have a Suggestion For CD - Transport ? .DAc I Can Choose Myself .

Santosh Jee I Just Got The Complete Pricelist Of Marantz From One distributor And To My Shock Denoms Go Is Better :lol: . But The question Is Not That I Was More Inclined To The Following

1 : The CC4003 - > Marantz SG | CC4003 .As This Will Have 5 CD Storage Hence Shuffling Will Not Be Necessary IMHO .But The Other Parameters Are Not Bright Looking Like The DAC And All .

2 : The CD5004 > Marantz SG | CD5004 .I though This Was The Cheapest i Could Get But The Thread By Denom Is Better .How Is This Worst Or Better Then The One He Is Selling There .

Amarbir, With the cd6003 you can play .wav and .mp3 files of a pen drive, so you can have sufficient files for playback without the hassle of changing cds often.
Otherwise it would be better you use some sort of digital playback in order to avoid wear and tear issues.
And please, consider this a sincere request, avoid typing every word with a Capital letter. It is quite difficult to read your posts. The only reason I still do take the effort is because I appreciate your efforts in the Indian audio scene.

I will try not to repeat it often .Thanks for the efforts you have made in suggesting me the players .I wanted to thank all of you and was inclined to ask whats the basic difference between the two the cd5004 and the cd6003 as far as quality of sound is concerned .

Atleast in Marantz, the bigger the number in the same series, better it is. For Eg: cd6003 is better than cd5002 and slightly better than cd6002 etc. You can leave out the multi cd changer option in your search as it is a fancy feature.

You can even use iPods and other players if your plan is to sell headphones. People can get their own devices & headphone amp and then decide after a listen.

Agree that they are better but can someone who has actually heard all the three come forward and suggest .
