Hi

My room has bright coloured walls and ceiling (off-white). Hence, the reflection from the walls back on to the screen makes the blacks look grey, even at night when the lights are off.

Should I go for a matte grey screen to improve the blacks and the contrast ratio? I was looking for the Liberty Grandview screen based on my budget.

I was reading on the net, however, that grey screens change the colour balance towards blue. Skin tones etc. therefore don't look natural. If this is true, I will definitely not go for a grey screen as I prefer natural colours.

Should I go for grey or stick to white? I would really appreciate your advise on this. My projector is Sony 40ES. The screen size will be 92".

Thanks

Grey screens are preferred if you have high lumens output projector.

For first time PJ user white is preferred to love the wow factor.

Wow. This is great. 40ES is considered to be one of the best projectors under $2000. Congratulations. Please share your review and photos of course. :)

BTW, where did you get it from? How much did it cost?

Grey if you plan on using with ambient light in the room or want better black levels than white
