maverick audio DAC

nope, i am yet to write about it to Rick. it is a pain i must tell you though. everytime the cd tray retracts and starts playing the CD, "kutch kutch kutch" the DAC goes ans sends those spikes to the tweeter.
.

You mean "kutch kutch hota hain ...." ?!! make sure its not the album, track or lyrics ... :ohyeah:

But lekin agar DAC ko "kutch kutch hota hain ...." then better get rid of the "khich khich"

"DAC ke Gale mein Kharrash? Kutch lete kyon nahin ...?" :)

Cheers

@vaibhav, congrats on the purchase!

I'd also considered the Maverick Audio DAC before I ended up buying a Beresford Caiman.

I'd second easantosh's suggestion of trying the LM4562NA when you can. It is much more detailed at the cost of a bit of loss of heft in bass.

+1 If mid range forwardness, separation and detail are high on your list at the cost of little less heft in bass ..... you should try the LM4562NA

thanks guys, looks like LM4562NA and LT1364 are both the opams to try. will try my luck wandering around lamington road in mumbai or pasodya vithoba temple in pune and see if i happen to get it there. i know chances are slim. else, there is ebay.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
