REL has been the first name for many when it comes to subwoofers for music & MJ Acoustics are made by EX REL staff in England, who got abandoned when a US Co. bought out REL and moved production to China. They had improvements such as programmability which is remote selectable for both volume, rollover, and several other parameters. And remarkably with a beautiful wood finish and lower price than REL.

All MJ acoustics subwoofers has bass out put down to 13hz and a -3db rating at 19hz in room it really is unbelievable value.

All who are in search of most musical subwoofers with best price can go for this great deal. :yahoo:

The ebay seller is none other than the sole distributor of MJ acoustics in India.

I am going for two Reference 100MK2 for stereo subs. MRP Rs.60000/- each, offer price Rs.30000/- each.

Rs.30k for the Reference 100 Mk2 is absolutely a bargain!!.It retails at around Rs.42k in the UK.Anyways,sounds too good to be true.

MJ subs are very much on par with the older RELs..both are made by the same OEM called BKElec in UK.

the low powered moedels are sealed but the higher powered onces are ported, but very well tuned.

Do also check out the entry level RELs available in india..as i found out Warranty is very important and in the long run works out cost effective in case anything gowes wrong....the india REL dealer was extremely helpful

Sorry for being OT, but who deals with REL in India?. What are the prices for entry level RELs?.

Also how do these MJ subs (say 100 MK2 priced at 30K compare to say Velodyne Impact 12 which is also priced about the same?).

I tried to see for some reviews on the MJ and I did not see very encouraging reviews.

Even in HFV, I do not see much interest on the MJs. Will it be a wise idea to invest 30K on these when compared to other subs in this price range such as Velodyne impacts, Polk DSW Pros etc.

The REL after been bought over by Sumiko the manufacturing has moved to China.

BTW BK has their own range of subs and have models more or less similar to the MJ models.
